When the work is finished

Get the space ready for what comes next.

A renovation can look finished while dust and surface film remain. We plan the final clean around the property’s condition and finishes.

  • Before move-in

Plan the clean after dusty trades finish and, where practical, before furniture delivery and unpacking.

  • After contractor cleanup

If the contractor has removed materials but dust remains on ledges, fixtures or tracks, tell us which areas still need attention.

  • Across the affected rooms

Dust can reach adjoining spaces. Include nearby bedrooms, stairs or living areas when we review what needs cleaning.

What your post-renovation clean can include

Fine dust, floors and edges

We remove loose dust with HEPA extraction on suitable surfaces, followed by microfibre detailing and controlled damp cleaning. Floor material and finish condition guide the method.

  • Baseboards and trim
  • Ledges and settled dust

Kitchens and new cabinetry

Dust film and handling marks need careful cleaning around new finishes. We assess cabinet fronts, counters and fixtures. Cupboard, drawer and appliance interiors are separately priced additions.

  • Taps and handles

Tracks, frames and finishing details

Fine dust can remain in small recesses after the main surfaces look clean. We work through the accessible details agreed for your property. Window-glass cleaning is confirmed separately.

  • Window tracks and sills
  • Frames and handles
  • Accessible vent covers
Care for the new finish

The right method starts with the material.

Check new finishes

Share the paint, flooring and surface-care information from your installer. A coating can feel dry before it has hardened enough for cleaning.

Assess stubborn residue

Paint specks, adhesive and grout haze need assessment before removal. More force or stronger chemicals can damage a finish. Scratches and etching require a different solution.

Agree the access

Walls, ceilings, window glass and high areas are reviewed individually. The finish, its condition and safe access determine what can be included.

Keep the scope clear

This service excludes construction debris hauling, active building-site cleanup, hazardous or mould remediation and work inside ducts. Accessible vent covers can be included.

A project we completed in Markham

A 1,000 sq ft Markham apartment

~1,000
sq ft apartment
5
cleaners
9
hours on site

This apartment needed extensive post-renovation cleaning despite having little visible dust. Five cleaners worked for nine hours on ceilings, walls, floors and windows, using dry microfibre wiping, lightly damp wiping and spot washing where needed. That was 45 labour-hours for this project. It shows why a small floor plan can still involve substantial surface work. Each property’s scope determines its own team and time.

Markham Post-Renovation Cleaning FAQs

Scope, materials and preparation—before the work begins.

Plan it after sanding, cutting, drywall work and other dust-producing tasks are finished. Tell us about remaining trade visits and recently applied finishes before choosing the date. Where practical, arrange cleaning before furniture delivery and unpacking.

We review the property size, condition, surfaces, requested tasks and access. Send room photos and close-ups of residue, plus your preferred timing and any deadline. Floor area alone does not capture the work involved in walls, ceilings, tracks or separately requested interiors.

They are assessed individually and listed in the agreed scope. Wall and ceiling cleaning depends on the finish, cure stage and safe access. Window-glass cleaning is confirmed separately from tracks and frames.

They are separately priced additions. List the cupboards, drawers and appliances you want cleaned inside when requesting the quote, even if they are newly installed.

No. We assess the residue and the material underneath it before attempting removal. Some marks need the installer’s attention. Scratches, etching and damaged coatings cannot be cleaned away.

The team and time depend on the agreed tasks, condition and access. Walls, ceilings, detailed edges and residue can add substantial work. The Markham apartment example is one project’s workload, not a standard duration for every property.

Construction debris hauling is outside this service. Arrange removal before the visit so the agreed surfaces are accessible. The City of Markham says renovation materials are not collected at the curb. Check the city’s disposal guidance.

Check which tasks the contractor completed. If tracks, shelves, trim or fixtures still have dust or film, a separate final clean may help. Tell us what has already been cleaned so the scope covers the work that remains.
