Our Deep Cleaning Process: Every Switch, Socket and Shelf Count

Most people think cleaning means running a vacuum, wiping a few surfaces and calling it a day. We disagree. At Let’s Get It Clean, deep cleaning is a detailed, methodical process where every room is treated like a project, not a quick visit. We use industrial-grade German equipment, safe yet powerful chemical agents, and a European eye for detail to restore your home, not just “freshen it up”.

1. On-Site Walkthrough and Planning

Before we take out a single mop, we walk through your home with you. During this visit we:

• Assess the current condition of each room – kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, hallways and stairs.
• Check the types of surfaces and finishes you have: hardwood, laminate, tile, natural stone, stainless steel, glass, lacquered cabinetry and more.
• Identify problem zones – heavy grease, soap scum, limescale, fingerprints on doors, dusty baseboards, pet hair and built-up grime.
• Discuss your priorities and any areas you’re worried about, such as a baby’s room, allergies or delicate floors.

From here we build a custom plan: which rooms to prioritise, how many technicians are required, which specialized chemicals and tools we’ll need, and what sequence will deliver the best result with minimal disruption to your day.

2. Preparation: Protecting Your Home First

Great deep cleaning begins with preparation. We want to make sure your home is protected and that we aren’t moving dirt from one room to another.

• We bring in professional floor protection where needed.
• We set up industrial-grade vacuums and extraction machines, routing cords safely.
• Whenever possible, we improve ventilation by opening windows for fresher air during cleaning.
• We sort and label our microfibre cloths and mop heads by area (bathroom, kitchen, general) to avoid cross-contamination.

At this stage, we also mix our professional cleaning agents. We use carefully measured dilutions of German-imported and high-quality Canadian products, chosen specifically for each surface and task. There is no “one bottle for everything” approach.

3. Dry Dusting and High-Reach Detailing

We always start with dry work before introducing any moisture. This prevents muddy streaks and helps our chemicals work more efficiently.

• We dust high and low surfaces: tops of doors, picture frames, shelves, curtain rods, vents, fans and light fixtures (where safely reachable).
• We remove cobwebs and dust from ceiling lines and corners.
• We vacuum or dust radiators, baseboard heaters and registers, where dust settles and then circulates through your air.

4. Switches, Sockets, Handles and Other Touch Points

We systematically clean and sanitise:

• Every light switch and on/off dimmer – removing fingerprints, smudges and grime from daily use.
• Wall sockets and outlet covers – plates are wiped and sanitised carefully (we never introduce excess moisture into electrical components).
• Door handles, cabinet pulls and drawer handles throughout the home.
• Banister rails and stair handrails, especially where hands naturally touch.

5. Kitchens: De-Greasing, De-Crumbing and Detailing

• Removing loose items from countertops and giving them a full degrease and disinfect, including backsplash and grout lines.
• Cleaning the exterior of all appliances and, if included, the interior of ovens, microwaves and fridges.
• De-greasing range hoods and filters with food-safe degreasers.
• Wiping and sanitising cabinet doors, edges and handles, including lower cabinets where splashes gather.
• Cleaning sinks, faucets and drains with limescale-targeting products that are tough on deposits yet gentle on finishes.

We don’t just swipe surfaces. We get into edges, corners, under the lip of countertops and those tiny spots where crumbs, cooking residue and sticky fingerprints hide.

6. Bathrooms: Hygiene, Shine and Safety

Bathrooms require disciplined technique and the right chemistry. Done wrong, you’re left with streaks, harsh smells or damaged surfaces. Done right, they look and feel like a spa again.

• We apply suitable products to showers, tubs, tiles and grout to break down soap scum, limescale and body oils.
• We carefully clean glass doors and screens to remove water spots and mineral deposits without scratching.
• We sanitise toilets inside and out, including hinges, bases and flush handles.
• We clean vanities, sinks, counters and mirrors, removing toothpaste, cosmetics and water marks.
• We wipe cabinet fronts, hardware and shelving, including inside cabinets if requested.

Every product is chosen for balance: powerful enough to remove build-up, safe enough for daily family life.

7. Living Areas, Bedrooms and “Forgotten Places”

This is where our European-style detailing really shows. We focus on everything that usually gets ignored:

• Window sills, frames and ledges – wiped and dusted, not just glanced over.
• Shelves, bookcases and display units – dusted and wiped, top to bottom.
• Baseboards and trims throughout the home.
• Tops and sides of door frames, not just the centre panel.

We also make a point of reaching places where no one has cleaned in years: behind furniture (where safely movable), under beds, along carpet edges and behind doors. We use a combination of detailed vacuuming and wiping so dust isn’t just moved around—it’s actually removed.

8. Floors: From Extraction to a Fresh, Even Finish

Once all vertical and horizontal surfaces are handled, we finish with the floors. Depending on the material, we may:

• Use professional vacuums with strong filtration on hard floors and carpets to remove fine dust and allergens.
• Perform edge vacuuming along baseboards and under radiators or furniture gaps.
• Mop hard floors with surface-specific products (wood, laminate, tile, stone) to clean without dulling or damaging.
• Use extraction or steam techniques for carpets and rugs, when included, to pull out deep dirt and residues.

The goal is a floor that feels fresh underfoot and completes the transformation of the room.

9. Final Inspection and Touch-Ups

We don’t pack up until we’re satisfied—and you are too. At the end of the job, our team lead will:

• Walk through each room, checking corners, edges, switches, shelves, sockets and touch points.
• Address any missed spots or streaks immediately.
• Invite you to walk the space with us so you can see what was done and ask questions.
